Can anyone offer a little more insight as to why the Bully Dog Triple GT is hard on Transmissions ?
Shift on the fly is mutually exclusive from actually tuning your vehicle. Think of it this way: you have certain computer programs that require you to restart the computer in order for the entire program to function correctly. Same thing here.
With regard to the shift on the fly "tuning" of the tranny. Let's say that you actually are able to tune the tow program into the computer, but then you shift to street or to the Extreme tune. The tranny tuning is actually still on the tow setting. Not exactly the best thing for longevity.
If you run anything but an SCT and you blow head gaskets, it's the programers fault. If you run an SCT and you blow your head gaskets, it's the design of the engine that's at fault. Always remember that.

Not true at all. There are a lot of variables that come into play here. You stretch the bolts with SCT, it could very well have been problem with the tuning. Possible, statistically not likely as compared to Banks, BullyDog, and/or Edge products, but it can happen. It really depends on who you use for your tuning.
Are there people that haven't had problems with Banks, BullyDog and/or Edge...sure, there are a "few". However, I see/hear about more people ditching those three devices then I do those that ditch the SCT.
The 6.0 has already been designed within tight tolerances and it's finicky about that. Running any type of performance enhancing devices brings about risk, some moreso then others.
