New project need help

Hello, I just recently bought a 1964 ford f250 with a 262/6 and 4 speed tranny. The truck overall is in good shape just one rust hole in the front right fender and the bed is dented and has paint all over it with its mix of rust spots. I'm am wanting to stick a 1965-1972 300/6 in the truck.

My questions are:
Can I hook up a fuel injection system from a 1987-1996 300/6 to my earlier model engine?
Can I hook up disc brake to the solid I-beam front end?
Could a 1964 f100 bed hook up to the f250?

Here's part of my VIN
P25JK

I would post pics but I can't figure out how to get them from my camra to this site. Thanks in advance.

Read the stickies on posting pictures - a lot of guys use photobucket. There's a learning curve, but simple once you get it figured out.

No idea on the efi swap, but anything's possible. I'd imagine you'd need to bring over the harness & ecu.

Disc brakes are available - run a search on it (it's a really useful feature of the site!).

Beds should be the same.

Welcome & good luck with the project!

Nope. The 262 head and intake are completly different in pattern and dimension.

Can I hook up disc brake to the solid I-beam front end?

No, Aftermarket kits are made by multiple vendors for F100s
but not for F250s. Bill W from Tucson was going to work on a kit.

Could a 1964 f100 bed hook up to the f250?

Yes, the 64 started the new series bed untill 66 and will interchange with some minor drilling if it is a 65 66.

Photobucket works. start and account there drop them in a folder and you can directly link them in to your post.
