Econoline Pickup Transmission

I have a 1965 Econoline pickup with the 170 ci engine. What are the differences in the 3 speed transmissions from year to year and are they all enterchangable? I know the rear transmission mount has an early and late design.
Thanks

Transmission

Lets try a different question.
Should my 65 Econoline pickup have the early Borg Warner T-10 or the 3.03 Ford Toploader 3 speed transmission? I understand the Toploader was introduced in 64, but was it offered on the Econoline Pickup
Thanks

What I learned was that the internals of the 65 and newer are suspose to be the same as a regular truck tranny. So they can interchange the parts. Also the housing the same. Just the tail shaft is shorter and its housing. So a trucks trans can be bolted on with a change of the tail shafts. Trucks ones are longer.
64 and down the internals can be changed from the Falcon cars or even as I did mine a 59 Ford car. Again the tailshaft has to be changed to fit the Econoline.
The earlier ones had car trans and the 65 newer had more truck trans. That is what I have experienced so far.

Great question I have a similar issue but it seems as nobody knows much about this question so I may have to drag my dad over here to get him to resolve it for folks wanting to work within the confines of a bolt in work instead of heavy mods to the pickup. I myself don't mind the mods if that is the only route but since I am looking to just cruise in it I prefer to simply bolt in an OEM set up.

Econoline Transmissions

the transmission back cover, which includes the mount to the chassis, changed between 1964 and 1965.
