what years/models....
hey,
I was wondering what years and models the dual fuel tanks with the 2 pump setup NOT the 3 pump setup were availible in. how are the tanks switched back and forth, where is the control? thanks

Haynes has an excellent explanation of the system, but the dividing year is either '90 or '91. The later type (Fuel Delivery Module "FDM") has an internal pressure-operated valve that allows fuel to come BACK to that module & recirculate. When a pump is off, this valve is closed, so fuel from another tank can't come there.

the frame mounted pump for gas engines went away in 1990 so to the answer your qusetion 90 and up fpr f150's
