If you want it to be more level just floor it. It'll level out. Ha jk. Hey I wanted to change my front headlight assembly but I heard it's illegal to not have the amber corner on the bumper lights? If it is then how do you pass inspection?
Most inspection guys overlook it. I have clear parking lights on mine that match the headlights. I think it looks perfect.
Did you remove the helper leaf or the slapper bars? Did this require any parts? If not im going to pull my truck in the garage right now and do it.
Thanks
I removed the leaf spring right above the slapper bar(traction control leaf). I added a leaf spring clamp to hold the leafs together since the old one was removed with the leaf I removed. I hope that makes sense.

I figured you would need new clamps. Guess I cant do it tonight
Where did you get the new clamps?
Here is how mine looks with clears. I love how the grill follows the lines of the clear headlights.
Wow after seeing this pic I realize just how much it lowered after the ibeams. Definitely helped to lower it in my opinion.
Thats cool.
I usually don't like the billet grilles on our trucks, since they do not have a frame around them like the 80-86 trucks. They don't line up with the headight bezels. Your grille must the the Carriage Works one that has the trim around it. At least thats what it looks like in the picture.

He painted some of the "bars" black so it flows with the headlights.

That's correct....I painted the top 2 and the bottom 3 bars so it would flow with the headlights better. If I had an extra stock grille I might would try the molding of the two grilles together idea, but for now I really like the way the painted billet looks.
Ok I think I finally got the stance I was looking for. As I stated in earlier posts I was having an issue with the passenger side being around 3/4 too low. Well it was actually exactly 5/8 inch lower on the passenger side.
To fix this I went to Fastenal and picked up 3 of the largest washers they had. The center of the washers diameter is 2 inches so it fit perfectly on the coil spring perch. I welded the 3 washers together to make a solid spacer.
I drove it around for awhile and all seems well so I'm very happy with the results now.
The spacer I made to raise the passenger side so it would be level with the drivers side.
I would be more interested to know why it wasn't sitting level before. Was it the suspension or was it the body panels etc. I'm not sure what you were measuring from. If its the body panel fitment, then you don't want to change the suspension to compensate.

That is a mystery. My 86 did it when I dropped it(not really noticeable) and alot of other people have had the same problem. It would be nice to understand what exactly is causing this though.
EDIT: ZOMG post # 1337 I is sooo LEET now! lol sorry.
