Question better gas

i have a 2003 ranger fx4 level II. if i put a K&N kit on it, will i get better gas milage? i drive about 200-250 miles a day. city and highway. also, is it hard to install lockers?

better gas

Not enough to notice. I have heard you might get .5mpg increase ... you would get better gas milage just by driving like an old lady and putting the money towards fuel though.

Angry better gas

i figured it wouldn't. just thought i would ask. you know, it is a great truck and a not so bad engine. but it drinks some gas. thanks for you reply guys.

better gas

I put a K&N in my 01 XLT 4.0 for the same reason, but noticed only a small increase. I did , however notice more throttle response [mine is an automatic] off the line and when i hit the "passing gear".
