'82 supercab interior Q's

I've got some ideas about updating my interior but I need a little feedback about a couple of em.

Headliner: Has anyone else removed a headliner from a supercab? Does the whole thing come out the door smoothly or do you have to remove the seat?

Steering column: Mine is crooked, as in angled to the left. I saw what looked like adjustable points under the dash when I had the gauges out. Do I just loosen these up and position it where it should be, then tighten em down?

Gauge lighting: I recently painted my needles red and they look great against the white lettering but looks really bad under the factory green lighting. I've seen people use neon rope lights around the gauges in whatever color you want with good results. Anybody on this forum seen or done this? Would LED strips work as well?

Any thoughts would be great.

For the gauge lighting, that factory green lighting is actually suppost to be blue believe it or not haha.

What you can do, and many others have done it, is remove the little blue caps that are on the lightings inside your gauge cluster. Its very simple to do. What you will have to do is remove your dash/bezels to get to you gauges and remove the gauge cluster. There will be a the speedo cable and the wiring harness that are connected into the back of it you will need to unplug. Also you will have to detach the gear indicator cable and your gauges will come free. Once you take the front plastic peices off you can get to the blue caps and it will make the light much much brighter inside.

huh, that may be a lot better than I originally thought. I'd much rather do it for free than all the labor of adding lights under the trim. Thanx for the info
