Stuck in Park while Running
2002 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 2wd Regular Cab automatic
I can shift out of park normally EXCEPT when the engine is running. The brake lights work fine and it is not the BOO switch because I replaced it with no change. I also checked all the fuses.
What could it be? It won't shift out of park only when the engine is running.

Take a look in at the fuse list in the owners manual & you'll probably find a listing for the "shift lock actuator"fuse.
If anything else thats wired to the same fuse is also not working, swap it out & cross your fingers.
