Tranny issues

I've had kind of a tranny issue lately. Every once in awhile when I shift my truck into D there is a long delay. I can rev the engine and it will finally engage. It doesn't happen everytime, just sometimes. I have noticed if I shift into L it will engage quicker.

I took the advice from an earlier post adn checked the bolts under the dash and found them loose. I tightened them and the shifter is a lot tighter, but the shift problem is still there.

This has started happening only since I had the torque converter replaced and a shift kit installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check trany fluid
Sounds like you don't have enough fluid in there.

Fluid is good. That was the first thing I checked. Also the fluid and filter are both fresh(when the TC and the shift was installed).

Thanks.
