2011 CONSOLE

So has anyone done it yet? That is- put a 2011 Console in a 2008-2010 Super Duty? we all couldnt wait to put the 08-10 style in the 99-07 superduty. I really like the 4 cup holder idea on the 2011's and want to make that work on the 08. It looks as if it should bolt right up, however you will lose the small compartment directly under the radio bezel... not sure if anything is bolted to the floor where the cup holders are, or if it gets bolted to the dash at all...

Whats your thoughts?

I dunno but I had an '08 and it sure looks like it would be more than just a bolt on. Dash is a lot different, but, who knows. Maybe it would just be an easy swap.

You'll get another bonus if you do. Those four cup holders are removable. Under them is a plastic removable plate. Under it, is two monster cup holders or a secret stash spot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you would have to change the 08 dash face plate to a 2011. The extended console in the 2011, runs into the dash slightly. I think you could order the 2011 new dash surround or face plate and it should bolt right up to a 08-2010 model.

This would get expensive due to the 2011 being so new and not having a lot of parts out in the market.

yes i figured yhou have to change the faceplate as you would also lose that small omaprtment on the dash in the 08, but the extra space on the 2011 consoles makes up for it
