First off we have a 2000 f 350 4x4 7.3( no chip ). I hit a big bump in the road and then the check engine soon light came on and is still on . Was taken to Ford and their computer said it was the idm module . Bought a remanufactured one from Auto Computer Exchange. It is still missing. Also replaced by recall the camshaft position sensor and the 8W7Z4A 411 C Wire assembly, new fuel filter. This truck pulls heavy loads every day . I need it fixed ,but am running out of ideas. The Ford dealership obviously doesn't know. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Check the main harness from IDM to the valve cover. There's a couple places it likes to chaif, one where it goes over the valve cover think the other is at shock tower
How did you determine the driver side UVCH needed to be replaced? Did you check the pass thru connector on the valve cover? Have you taken ohm readings on the injectors? Do you know what specific codes the dealer pulled? Are you 100% sure there are no issues on the passenger side?
It pulled no codes at the dealership. Cousin is a mechanic there and said it was the idm . Have checked all wiring you guys have mentioned . Still it misses. Have not did ohm reading on the injectors.
