Hey guys got a pretty neat update foryour DOCs. Having lots of issues with fuel in the oil relating to leaking injectors and from clogged docs. Me and navistar have been working together to figure out a good idea how to not get the DOC to get face plugging cause the dpf can get clean out but the doc is catching the aftertreament fuel casuing face plugging. Well trying to get heat to the doc has been proving to be a little dificult. They just came up with a programm thats helping with it. Also for the extreme face plugging issues i made myself a plate today that me and navistar came up with. All it is is a plate with a half inch hole drilled in it to flow exhaust through. The plate builds up extra heat and as long as you dont have the EGDP hooked up, dont exced 1200 degrees and 45 psi EBP it wont hurt anything. It also works great and burns every last bit out. So as simple as it may be its workin good. Just wanted to give an update on that. Thought i was pretty neat. Also i would like to add that along with my many fords i have i added a new 2010 dodge to the family. Just want to let you guys know that i also part of the cumminsforum website and really hate the people on there. All very iggnorant people and this site is full of quality people and i enjoy talking with you guys about diesels and stuff. This sites the best
interesting thoughts on getting the doc to have a higher overall heat. I really have not heard to the doc getting plugged up on the forum here. But it is possible.
this is interesting what temps are you guys seeing on egt 1-1.
I roadtested one the other day for tring to figure it an excessive regen concern. Doc (egt1-1) temp was at 900*f. that should be plenty hot to help light the dpf.

Doc problems are becoming a issue for some reason. One thing is that one bus company is unplugging the EGR valve casuing issues with too much unrecir exhaust gas through DOC and DPF. Cheezit that seems kinda high for the Number 1. The first sensor should see about 600 max in all the big and little engines. Thats why this tool has came out now to help clean the system better casue i honestly think the in clyinder aftertreatment fuel isnt enough. The big engines are alot nicer using the inj in the exhaust. Sure it clogs up once and a while but its better than goin through the engine. I bet you have some kind of filter damge. I had 2 this week one had the doc melted in the upper half middle. The other one had DOC and DPF critical meltdown. I dont know why they did that but something melted the whole thing to the point the engine wouldnt even run at all

IN fact you are right. the dpf was replace 15k ago. the doc was not. I found maf at 14.9khz. like unit at 14.2. Repalced maf and retest still same. seperated dpf and found doc is by passing and have a very large soot/ash load between doc and dpf. replaced both and retested could not get it to go back in to regen to moniter correct temp durring regen. As per tech line should be 700+ in regen.

Thats what it "SHOULD" be. I have never seen it get above 600 on its own. With my new doc tool it makes the temp get up too 800 to 1000 the needed to to turn soot to ash you run it there for 10 minutes and the the doc is clean. works really good too.I got some pics of my tool and a few of the docs i ran into
