yes its a ford....
after a little FB chat with Morris i decided i better post up the new wheels.
heres a sneak. i'll get nice photos once its all waxed and polished
its a 97 f350 s cab long box 4x4.
some may have seen it on kijiji, got it for one hell of a price.
right now plans are to change all filters and fluids, replace cracked intake boots, shifter bushings, wax and polish, hook up the trans, pryro, and boost gauge then buckets with a fold up center consol from a 02 f250
far future plans are a chip with the normal(tow1-2,eco, performance 1-2) with a rebuilt trans that can handle towing at the farm, then maybe.. and this is my redneck side getting ahold of me but a single 5" stack on the passenger side miter cut even with the roof then an offset tool box.
basically all in all a good daily driver that can handle what i throw at it it. it has a 3" lift and 285/75-16's and i might look for a set of stock springs to lower it back down to stock height and sized tires. undecided.
not bad for an old farm truck eh?
did a tranny flush, and all other fluids and filters at the shop today. switched over to full synthetic in everything with BOSS lubes(its what our shop carries) and the truck runs alot smoother. flushed a whole 20liter pail through the tranny.. the stuff that was in there was disgusting! shifts a whole lot nicer now. smooth but firm shifts, not the jerky bull**** it was doing before.
got a slight oil leak on the passenger side of the engine.. need to figure out what it is. HPOP?
and the rear tank also seems to have a leak off the lines. although now im on the front take its still leaking a bit.
oh! and another neat thing about the truck, hopped in it yesterday morning for a smoke, didnt have my lighter so i pushed in the one in the ashtray, pulled it out and my jaw dropped. original lighter from 97 has never ever been used. not touched on a single thing!
