Rebuilt Tranny
Had to bite the bullet and get the tranny done. 1999 clankity clankity automatic is now gone. 181000 miles, so I can't really complain. Surprised how quiet it is now. My wife won't have to tell all those who say something is wrong with that truck that her husband say's it is fine. Local Diesel shop did it for $2795, and very quickly. Just wanted to vent. Thanks. sorry to hear your bad luck but good you were able to get it fixed. what is the history for this tranny? how often was it serviced, any add ons such as external filter or cooler? did the shop that did the rebuild say what failed? how is the truck used? thank you for sharing your experience so we all can learn.
