on a side note...
drove my buddy up to cantonement tday (rick, i went right by milton on I-10) to look at a truck, he just got to this base from tech school and still dosn't have wheels. anyway we looked at a 93 chevy stepside 4x4, i know its a bowtie but it didnt look too ad from the pics, guy said it had a rebuilt tbi 350 in it. As it turns out it was rebuilt 50k ago, has a bad exhaust leak, misses at idle, and slipps real bad in 1st. So i advsed him to leave it be. How do i relate this to idi's? well on the way back we saw a nice looking 92-97 f250 with a for sale sign in the window, so we stopped, as i got closer i saw the little "turbo-diesel" emblem on the fender. NO WAY!!! first one ive seen down here. We called the number on the sign found out its got about 200k, a brand new tranny and the 4x4 works great!!! body is real clean (geez i love southern trucks) and he's askn 4200 for it, 5700 with a 2 axle trailer. its got that gray and red two tone. needless to say were goin out there tommorow for a test drive. I might not be able to drag EVERY truck in the parkin lot anymore

ya we're gonna wheel and deal a little bit hehe. he's still kid of a newbie when it comes to buying cars. ive only been stationed down here about a year and ive been through 5 (still own two)

roger that... hmm shine country, ill have to look into that. but yea i talk to the owner and made sure hes not gonna start it an get it warmed up so it starts easier. my buddies probably not gonna buy the trailer and from lookin at it i told him not to offer any more then 3800. I think i can convince him

mmmm.a 94.5-97 PSD truck would explain the higher price tag too.

thats true. but they had the powerstroke emblem didn't they? eve in 94'? eblems don't mean much too me anyway i used to work at a junkyard, i geuss we'll see tommorow

well currently it is the oil washing up on the shores! When i was stationed in Gautier MS, that is Shine country. Cantonment, not so much. Although i will agree that area is the ultimate redneck paradise. They dont call it the redneck riviera for nothing!!! hahaha "Where you goin tonight?" FLORABAMA lmfao!!
