I want all to know that when terminals are burned up it is due to a loose connection...nothing else . If there were too much current the whole wire would melt. Regarding motors gong out. : either bearings are bad or windings open or melt (burn)together. the relation mentioned above of higher mileage trucks is just due to a long time of heating of the loose connections. The heating is caused by arcing which acts like electric welding on a small scale. I hope this helps you all sometime in your troubleshooting.
So my AC when I start the truck will work fine if I shut it off after period of time the AC does not work with that be the resistor or the motor

When it works the fan will blow in all speeds. Could the blower motor itself be going out or is the switch more likely?

Thanks for any input.
our wash truck with 425,000kms had same issue, the plug to the motor was all corroded and screwed up we replaced the blower motor before finding out so now we have a spare blower lol

Okay I have to bring this message back to the top. I have a 2011 F250 Lariat with digital dual climate control. The blower motor turns on and off at random. I just repaced the resistor...PITA!! Unfortuantely it still has the intermittent issue. I did not check the connector to the resistor. I guess I was just in too much of a hurry to get it done since it's a long job. I forgot to check it. Anyway, I have searched this issue on the web and this forum for days. I am just looking for some direction. I've seen where some have said they had a ground problem and others saying that their ground/wiring problem was due to a bad blower causing too much resistance and damaging the ground. Any advice would be great.

Does anyone know if they sell the plug that connects to the resistor and what the part number would be? Maybe where I can find a parts catalog that I can search through the graphics and pic out hte part I'm looking for?
