My glowshift gauges work just fine. My boost gauge doesn't wiggle or flutter at all, guess that doesn't mean something isn't wrong with yours.

I would still build a leak tester, you might be surprised. Maybe your intake plenums are leaking, you wouldn't see that.

Sorry, didn't know that. Does your turbo have any excess play? Maybe if your injectors are causing issues you wouldn't build as much boost, I don't know. Someone smarter than me will have to help you there.

I totally agree with you mountaineer27, cooler is better!! but don't worry about it as long as they are not staying high, I know x temps are the same in chipped and stock trucks, but just for your info, here are my average temps, cruising at 60mph (2000rpm)-600deg., 0-60mph, shifting at 2200rpm (foot on the floor in each gear up to 2200) 1000deg., towing 8,000lbs on flat ground at 60mph,750-780deg., and at idle it is 250deg. Like I said pulling up that 4 mile hill I stay at around 1100-1150, and if I accelerate up the hill I can pass1200deg.

Yeah, I think you have a problem, near me there is a 1/4 mile hill that is quite steep and empty coming back from town there was a guy right on my bumper so at the bottom of the hill I put my foot on the floor and went from 60 to 75mph up that hill and I didn't get to 1100 deg. I personally don't know what your problem is, does the truck run ok besides the high temps?

seems to be lacking response on the throttle and constant white smoke when going anything over 35mph

i think im just gunna spend the $300 and get my injectors pinged.

For me I get the white smoke in the morning but that is typically condensation build up, I think. The white smoke goes away the longer it warms up. Not a big deal for me

Check your up pipes to make sure they are not leaking

I've heard of the jets causing failures on the SD's but never on an OBS engine. Not saying that it can't happen though...

Think small and work your way up to the bigger things.. I.E. boost leaks, turbo, injectors.

i know my injectors arent stock but it shouldnt make my egts any lower than any other truck, on stock it is very difficult to get anything over 1100 max no matter were i am, slow speeds ******* or hauling some butt on the highway.on stock with an intercooler i pull around 16~18 lbs of boost. with the chip up to blow people away its hard to hit anything over 1300 degrees of egts pulling 26lbs of boost with the wrong tuning.

12lbs of boost is kinda low for a chipped truck, i lost about 4lbs of boost adding an intercooler, but on a stock truck with a chip you can hit a good 18-20lbs.

how ever, when i cracked my injector tip or wheni was running on 7 cylinders when my poppet valve crapped out, my egts were terrible, you may possibly have a weak injector or 2, might be time for an over haul, plungers and barrels might be in order.

this white smoke is semi conserning, how long does it smoke for, just in the mornings like usual trucks or way more?

Losing any coolant? Oil in coolant or coolant in oil?

White smoke could be head gasket.

I'm guessing that or injector problems. Maybe dumping too much fuel.
