Timing Advance

Erg..ok..aparently my truck has been runnign without timing advance.

Ok the important info..84 Ford F150 300 Six TFI-IV. I've recently done a tune up cap/wires/rotor/plugs..

I' hooked up a timing light..had to put it on cyl 2 *shake* and gave it some gas...NO advance at all. I"m trying to figure out what I need to be looking at for the culprit..MAP sensor i know is one thing that could be ..but what other items to look at.

I've contemplated going to DSII but want to leave this as stock as possible..I'm in southwest virginia..not too worried about hurting ECOnazi's feelings but i'm still cautious..any help is appreciated...

THanks
John

Look near the ignition module for the SPOUT connector and make sure it's installed & completing the circuit. A Haynes manual will have more details.

I'm in Castlewood, about 20 miles from Bristol. Not that far away. Got 2 cousin-in-laws in school at Virginia Tech up there.
