I have had an issue with low output voltage from the alternator on my 05.
(see thread "Is 13.2v something to worry about?")
While it seems okay for now, it got me thinking that I may be replacing it in the near future.
The serpentine belt and tensioner are original with 56000 miles. I planing on replacing the belt at around 60000 miles unless the alternator dies before then.
My question is: Does it pay to replace the tensioner and/or any pulleys at that time or is it a relatively trouble free item that should last much longer than 5years/60000 miles?
