390?

Can anyone tell me which engine this is a 390 or 352? The numbers on the block near the oil pan are 8622 i think can anyone help me or is this wrong?

Find some more numbers.

Measure the stroke.

Ignore the "352" in the casting on the driver side front of the block.

More info, more help. FEs look the same externally with some exceptions. Other than paint, which varied over the years, and oil breathers and engine mounts, it's almost impossible to tell externally. And paint can change a lot in 40+ years....

What year model is the truck, from 65-76 most were 352 to 67 and 360 68 to 76. While there are a few 390s sprinkled in the mix they are very few.
