I paid $40 shipped, for the two gates hoses I need. I have a lot of things I want to buy and I don't think it hurts to save a little here and there. If I make a mistake, I'll pay the price. There are some OEM parts I want to buy when they come up on my priority list.

So, did someone get the physical dimensions on those o-rings before they installed them so bob will know what size to begin stocking?

Well, didja'? You had them in your hands. Need a micrometer?

I could arrange that when I get them.
They are 3/8" and 5/16" male o rings.

We need at least three things: the outside diameter, the inside diameter, and the material diameter. All measurements should be to the nearest thousanth of an inch if possible. A tape measure isn't very accurate in this case.

The remaining specs that make up the definition of the o-ring would be the material and the Shore hardness, but you'll have no way of determining those last two.

From the measurements you take, we can then replace them without having to buy the whole hose.

What a concept! Need a 35-cent part? Pay $40 for the whole assembly.

Things like that toast my tuchus.

Well I guess I'll have to eat crow. I took them to a machine shop and they looked at me like I was crazy and handed me the micrometer and said "here you can do it, I don't have time for that ". I couldn't figure out how to read it. They weren't really nasty about it but they weren't really interested in helping me.

Well I got a hold of a micrometer that I can read. As follows:

3/8" male oring
OD = .438
I D = .295
Thickness = .069

5/16" male oring
OD = .379
I D = .229
Thickness = .069

I D = .295 maybe .301
OD = .438
Thickness = .069

Closest I see is .301 ID X .070 cross section or 5/16 ID 1/16 cross 7/16 OD -011

5/16" male oring
OD = .379
I D = .229----------------.239
Thickness = .069---------.070

or 1/4 X 1/16 X 3/8 -010
