I paid $40 shipped, for the two gates hoses I need. I have a lot of things I want to buy and I don't think it hurts to save a little here and there. If I make a mistake, I'll pay the price. There are some OEM parts I want to buy when they come up on my priority list.
I thought they were nylon orings, looked in catalog and man there is nothing listed, checked a few of the lines online with Ford to see if I can get a parts breakdown and nada.
I could arrange that when I get them.
They are 3/8" and 5/16" male o rings.
We need at least three things: the outside diameter, the inside diameter, and the material diameter. All measurements should be to the nearest thousanth of an inch if possible. A tape measure isn't very accurate in this case.
The remaining specs that make up the definition of the o-ring would be the material and the Shore hardness, but you'll have no way of determining those last two.
From the measurements you take, we can then replace them without having to buy the whole hose.
What a concept! Need a 35-cent part? Pay $40 for the whole assembly.

We've got a couple machine shops here, so I can get ur done. Don't forget now, that's for 2 hoses. So it's really only half as bad as you say. LOL
Well I guess I'll have to eat crow. I took them to a machine shop and they looked at me like I was crazy and handed me the micrometer and said "here you can do it, I don't have time for that ". I couldn't figure out how to read it. They weren't really nasty about it but they weren't really interested in helping me.
