Gear Speeds
I just recently bought a 1995 F150 L6 5-speed with roughly 87K for about $500. Both of the front spring mounts had rusted through the top and i was amazed that it hadnt fell completely apart in this guys driveway.
After finishing that i had to replace the door locks and the ignition key. Any key with the lightning bolt shape would open the door and start it... also replace the bushings on the lower control arms where it met the frame on both sides, put on new brake calipers and pads, new brake lines on the front half of the truck, and then put the magic eight ball on for a shift ***, and a Dale Earnhardt Sr. window sticker to make it my own.
This whole thing took about four weekends with out power tools. And now that i am finally able to drive it, I have to learn how to drive a stick. And i was wondering if any one knew what the best speeds for each gear are. I have some rough ideas but some input would be much appreciated.
