Shaking then Backfire!
I was driving home from work when I could feel the Van shaking from the backside. I thought maybe one of my tires was going bad so I pulled over to check it out. Tires are good.
So I get going on the freeway doing about 60mph. The shaking gets worse as I slow down to the off ramp I here what sounds like fire crackers going off!
Now I'm just tryin to make it home.
Anyone have a clue whats up?

Can you get the rear end off the ground and run it in gear to see if there is anything shaking in the axle?
How does the engine run at idle, or revving up to a couple thousand rpm in neutral?
It's difficult diagnosing remotely, so any more information would be helpful.

The engine is idling fine at stop lights and in park. And No shaking when I revved it up in park. I will try to lift up the rear and see what's up.
Turned out to be my rear tire after all! It was tearing up down to the steel belts. I didn't see it when I pulled over because that part of the tire was on the bottom.
Oh well, still an $80 fix.
Thanks guys
