tailgate for our 55
we want a script tailgate instead of block letters on our 55. is there such a thing avail? or am i going to be building a custom one? i would love to have the script and v8 from my '37 on it. i have talked to a couple of vendors and they said it can't be done due to licensing. i know i could go with a smooth one and paint it on. but i'd think if a place builds boths gates, they could do it. i'd have no problem with an upcharge for it.

You'll have to custom make one. Ford used the script up through 1952 on the tailgates.

Like Bobby said, "you'll have to make a custom one"...if you make it like I did then you can have anything you want cut into the panel, the large script on this tailgate was the preference of this particular owner.
