Good news ac guy was just here and with a little bit of freon, downstairs is getting cool again.

Bad news is the unit is 15yrs old and has out lived its usefulness and needs replacing, ughhhhhh

No its not, but with today's technology, electric savings over the old unit should reduce electric bills by almost 30%.

Bad news is I have a unit for upstairs that will need replacing also.
