I put a set of 2" drop shackles on the back of my 79 F-100 but it only lowered the rear about 1". I tried to buy the drop brackets for the front of my springs but DJM would only sell me a 4" kit with shackels and brackets. Anyone have a set of drop brackets for sale that will fit o know of any tricks to lower my rear about another 1-2". I am wamting to have the truck set level or just slightly lower in the rear. This is a pic. of my truck after the shackle install.
Thanks.

Reason: yr of truck was wrong
You should have 3" wide springs, so Chevy hangars will not work without modification. some of the heavy trucks and blazers use a very small front hanger but they use a 2.5" spring so you would have to cut it apart and widen it. Highboy hangers are the same way. I think all of the 3" springs used the same hangers. Maybe a front hanger from an 80's or early 90's dodge? I think they use a 3" spring. Or just remove your front hanger and move it up on the frame. You could also use a rear hanger turned upside down on the front of your spring. mite be ur best bet. good luck.
im always looking for good ideas (even though I'd hate to have a chevy or dodge part on my ford... lol) at least it wont be a toyota or isuzu part. Im going to look around and take my camera in case I see something i like.
ideas can come from anywhere. I read drag car, lowrider, rockcrawler, import mags and find ideas for mud trucks. even farm and construction equipment! The kid that owns my old highboy now put the power assist steering back on using combine parts.
