replace fuel pump or not????

I'm going to be dropping the gas tank on my Ranger in order to do a few things underneath. What is your opinion on replacing the fuel pump while I've got the tank out even though the old pump is working fine? It has 130,000 miles on it. Until recently, I would have just replaced it, but I've had a bad run lately of buying "new" parts that turned out to be defective and worse than the original. What do you think. Replace the pump or not? Thanks.

If it's not broken, don't fix it, cliche, but true.

Why are you dropping the tank?

Thanks for your reply. I'm dropping the tank to give more room to replace the spring supports, also going to replace the brake line and spray some anti-rust coating.

Try to not buy cheap parts. It's tempting, but a lot of cheap aftermarket stuff is made in China and is of extremely poor quality, as you (and I) have found out.
