Ive been on a waiting list since June 2 to get my Firestones replced with Michelins. Why can't Ford get these tires? Sears has them on sale all the time!
Anyone else taking this long?
thanks

You might want to get in touch with your local Dealer about the tires again, if you are inquiring on the total Firestone Ford recall, I believe that ended about November 2001, there was also a site that was Ford Firestone recall that gave all the tires that Ford was replacing Firestone tires with, so if you wanted a tire that was not on the list, I don't think they went out of there way to get it, but if you wanted to get the tires installed, then you take the invoice for the tires to your local Dealer and they sent it to Ford, when Ford reimbursed the Dealer they sent you a check for that amount on the invoice. That is the way we did ours. We were on the list also, tires got to bad, had to replace. Electric1

this is the web site for the campaign of firestone tires if you do not have it, I went to the site hoping I would be able to find the chart of all of the tires that would be going on the trucks besides Firestone, but could not find, connection is very slow here, take along time to load, Campaign ends March 31, 2002 at the dealer.
for you to have the tires replaced outside of the dealer and taking them the invoice ended November 15, 2001. Electric1
There are many tire shops around the Denver area that also take care of the Firestone tire swap. I was getting new tires on my Bronco, and they were setting up another customer with a new set of tires to replace their Firestones. The nice thing was they already had the tires in stock.
