Dropping by to say Hello...

I have been lurking around FTE since '04, having owned various ford projects over the years: 66 Bronco, 54 F100, and a 76 F150. I don't post a whole lot, mainly research and take advantage of the great knowledge base that is provided by this forum. Like most of you, jobs, family, and plain old life in general causes my ability to have the time to play around on here to vary.

My latest addition is a 66 F100 LWB that I picked up about a month ago out in Oklahoma. I have posted some pics in a gallery for those who want to take a look. It is a pretty solid old truck that needs some mechanical TLC to get it up to snuff. For now the plans are to get it squared away to be a reliable driver. After I am done with my current project (50 Dodge Coronet) I plan on restoring it.

Here is what I know about the truck. Feel free to set me straight if I fouled any of it up....

A= 240 previous owner says it was swapped for a tired 300 (haven't verified)
D= Dallas assembly plant Unit #874075= Built in June of 66
H= light beige (at some point it was painted maroon and then red)
M= Beige vinyl/woven plastic (Lower seat has been recovered in black but they retained the original Logo in the upper seat)
C= LD 3spd
09= 3.70 rear (seems much lower, screams at 50 engine is tired though)
62= DSO Houston

Thats about it in a nutshell... look forward to learning more over time from those that have been fooling with these trucks. I have already spoke with member Customcab about some resources in our area I hope to get together with him soon.
Thanks, Mike
