motor swap.

I have a 1973 ford bronco. no motor or trans. i have a friend that has a 1994 302 out of a f150. i was wondering if it can be used in my bronco, i plan on taking the fuel injection off and using a carb and normal intake. im also planning on putting a new after market wire harnes in the bronco. will a np435 4 speed trans bolt up to this 302? any info or tricks you can send my way would be great.

Thanks.

It'll work. You will need an adapter to mount the tranny to the Dana20 transfer case, but it's a popular build.

Little more info for you. Here is the intermediate shaft from a six cyl Bronco needed to accomendate the longer NP435 tranny. All of this can be had a whole lot cheaper than this is listed. 66-77 Early Classic Bronco NP435 Dana 20 adapter : eBay Motors (item 320516881537 end time Jul-12-10 12:14:45 PDT)

It will work but keep the EFI. There are harnesses that are made for conversions just like this one.

The first time you get tippy while wheeling you will be soooooo happy you have the efi.

MNM great to see you make the EB your new project.
The 302 will work loose the EFI & get a Edelbrock 289 Manifold with a 600 cfm & some headers.

EFI is nice just a little too new for the old school build.
You will like the C4 tranny very stout & easy to drive.

My last 5 EB's were stick & I finally found a 76 auto never look back. Keep the C4 you will be glad you did when you are stuck on a hill.

Welcome to FTE converting Chevy guys one EB at a time.
