Steering stuck for a second

04 F350 6.0. Making a left turn from an off-ramp, the steering stuck straight for a second then quickly popped left. Its been fine ever since but still has me concerned.

Any ideas?

If it is 4WD, probably the front wheel U-joints are dry or failed.

The same thing happened to me twice, only it was a right hand off ramp. I took it to the dealer both times after it happened, but they couldn't find the problem. They said it might be due to my large tires. A couple months later they replaced my passenger side ball joints and the wheel problem has never happened again. Hope this helps a bit.

Check out the Tie Rods! Make sure nothing is rubbing! My alingment guy left this clamp thing loose and it flopped over and made contact with the differentail cover. I all most went into the curb!
