M Rod stretch
The new bore can be any size, so it makes sense to me to go with a .912" size for a Cleveland piston. More piston choices are available and I think the quench height would be compatable with closed chamber heads.

If I go to this much trouble, I think bronze bushings are worth the effort. I have access to bronze material, both tubelets and solids sae 660. Is this the correct material? I can also get the oil impregnated bronze, I don't know which is correct for automotive use. How thin can I go with the bushings? Anyone know?
