Ice Road Trucker lights on truck

Does anyone know what type of light they have on the trucks this year on the show Ice Road Truckers. They didn't have them on the trucks last year. I figure they are for addition to the head lights but I haven't seen this type before. They look like a strip of 8 or 10 large LEDs. Most of the trucks have them mounted right above the head lights. Any ideas.

They look like Vision X Xmitter LED's. Bright as heck, but really really spendy!

Expect to pay top dollar for those babies. Nice but too much for my pockets.

If you look at Jack Jesse's truck I think that he has his mounted on the bottom of his mirrows and on Lisa's truck they are mounted right above the trucks headlights.

I saw a couple of them on in last night's episode as well as the one last week. They definitely look like Xmitter's. They look like 12" lights, which run about $500 each, or $1000/truck. One truck had an amber strip down in the bumper too, bet that was spendy... I'm sure they got a quantity discount, but still they add up quick. Nice lights though, supposedly better than HID.

Didn't see them on too often, wonder if the drivers even know they're there. I'd have them on all the time.

What's really funny is how they turn on the upper ones in the blows. That's the last thing I'd do, a good set of amber lights down low would help a whole lot more in a blow than a set of white lights up high lighting up the blowing snow and blinding the driver.

Xmitters are made in Tacoma Wa. and they have a minumun price they can be sold for. So the only chance of getting a deal is from the manufacturer themselves.
They are almost indestructable, seen video's where they put the blade of a loader on the lights and raised the front of the loader than drove over em with a cat track with no damage..They have a heck of a gurantee too.. Yeah pricey but well worth the money. Our John Deere dealer in Othello sells em. Got a set of the 4 led's for the Big Bud. And plan on installing a set on KR. They run about 159.00 ea. and the more led's the more the money some sets are around 6,000.00 And I will say bright as all get out.
I have a price list and a catolog over in the shop. If your interseted in a certain style.

Yeah that is the one..Ours is a KT 525. We can turn it up to 650 hp.Weighs in at 55,000 lbs, It was built in 1978 and was number 12 off the line that year. If I recall correctly it is a Cummins 1150cu. With 15 speed road ranger trans. Clark loader axles, and Big Buds own power divider. They call the cab a cruiser cab and it is big enough to have a dance in. lol.
carrys 550 gallons of deisel and 150 gallons of hydralic oil. I can't remeber how many gallons of motor oil since I havn't had too change it the last couple of times. Just put 10,000.00 in it a couple of years ago including new paint and decals. So it is good for 30 more years.
It is a blast to drive, everyone pulls over when they see it coming down the at them even though I am not over the centerline. And when in the field people are always stopping to watch it and take pictures. We set it up with John Deere Green Star GPS and auto steer..
