I just bought a set of chrome valve covers for my 351M out of MPD catalog. The oil filler cap on my old valve cover has a set of locking grooves and the other side old valve cover has a rubber grommet covering the hole with a tube coming out going to my air cleaner. The new valve covers have solid round holes on both covers and I need to know how to modify them to make them work.
They should have come with grommets...if not you can pick them up at your local parts house. What I have done on mine (Edelbrock 4460) stuck the grommet in the passenger cover, ran the hose and hooked it up, purchased Edelbrock Oil Fill Cover (4415)...it fits into the open hole via a grommet. Just what I did, may not be exact, but it works for me...

That's exactly what I did with my chrome Trick Flow valve covers.
I don't know if the ones you bought will, but mine have started to rust because I guess I didn't take care of them. I just put them on and never thought about them again. Then the other day when I doing some A/C work on it I noticed them starting to rust in spots. So make sure you keep them clean and wiped off or whatever.
My goal is to do just that...I guess it will also help that I am slowly re-doing stuff a little at a time...plus a lot of my buddies ask about where I am at on the truck, etc, so I have to make sure they stay "clean" to show them off!!!
