Yes and maybe no. The problem is that while the frames themselves probably are identical the mounting systems may not be. I'm guessing that both trucks are IFS (Independent front suspension). His may not be. There are spring mounts to consider if his is a monobeam. He will have to do some component addition and subtraction to the frame to get all of the suspension to add up. 1980-1996 frames were virtually identical, the body and motor mounts should be okay. If they are both f-250's with IFS I don't see a problem. Only thing that I can think of is that newer models use ball joints while the older trucks use kingpins.

I would say that his cab and bed will bolt on with no problems then. Only minor changes would be needed to get the suspension to match up. Some minor mounts will have to be put in place to hold the older components. As a side note, while he is working on the frame to get his 84 suspension on it.......Take the time to do an undercoat of some type. Do at least two layers of some penetrating flat black enamel type paint. He won't regret it. That will keep this frame in one piece for years to come.
