Belts.

Anyone have some pictures of the fan belts on there truck?

Once I get the belts on all I have to do is put some diesel in the tank drop the battery(s) in and this b***h is ready to run!

Also will one battery be enough to start it?

Thanks guys.

use jumper cables or a charger and then one battery should get you going.

Not always the case - most "work" trucks I've seen for instance have the alternator and vacuum pump and power steering belts arrangement just like the A/C models, but instead of the A/C the outside belt drives the PS pump again (that makes two belts for the PS pump).

Hrmm.. wonder how hard it'd be to dig up a dual belt PS pulley. I could use the extra to drive my York for on-board air!

Both the setup Festus described and the one I just mentioned are achieved with a dual-groove pulley. The PSpump in these trucks is the same pump Ford used for like 20 years straight, so you may have a decent luck for finding a pulley like that if you look in early-'80s Ford vehicles.
