Well Kevin..... first, welcome to FTE and there is a lot of help here for you but we need to know a little more about you truck and what specific problem(s) you are having with your a/c.

1. Year and model of your truck.
2. What happens when you turn your a/c on?
3. Does the fan motor run?
4. Does the Compressor turn at all?

You say it was charged about two years ago so did it cool at that time? Post back here and I am sure we can give you some tips to get you started cooling again.

OK....we are getting there now. You say the compressor turns but let me ask you, is the center of the compressor turning or just the outside of the pulley? Do you hear the compressor "click in" when you turn the a/c on?

Check your low and high side pressure valves... they might be leaking. Thankfully those things just screw on or well I know the high side does.

My guess is it has a leak and needs to be recharged.

Put gauges on it and if it is low recharge it or look for the leak.

ill check for leaks after i figure out the compressor cause the clutch is not engaging so that is looking like my problem cause it blows cold at the beginning and its going to cost to check for leaks and money is very tight
iv checked the fuse and it was fine and i even replaced it with a new one just to be sure and it was the a/c clutch fuse not the blower my blower works fine
so how do i make sure its the clutch and can i just replace the clutch maybe instead of the whole compressor or even fix it some how cause a new compressor is around 200 and i don't really have that

I do not understand why you think the clutch is bad.
If it is low on gas the clutch will not work.
To check the clutch if you must unplug the low pressure cutout and jumper the two wires.
Do not run the AC very long this way as it will burn up the compressor as it will not have cooling.

No it is over by the heater. If you short the plug on the clutch you will blow a fuse.

thanks for that i was about to look for one of those pics
but that low pressure switch arrow points to 3 plugs on that side
on that's plugged into the heater it looks like the other into the condenser and another that plugs into another plug
