yea first thing thats going in is the heads. but quick question, when i replace heads is it a good idea to replace both sides at the same time? also, would it be better to replace the head with 2 broken plugs or drill them out and heli coil?

yes do both at the same time

if u go back with stock heads u can do one but if its aftermarket performance heads do both...

i would try to remove the 2 broken plugs first...and heli coil them... then save up for some good heads

I paid 2k for my 85 f250 4x4. has its original 460 ci with original 94k plus miles with the 4 speed manual, have had no problems with it other than the original radiator cracking on the passenger take but replaced it for under $200.

Where have the plugs broken? Usually it would be just the porcelain insulators, so no helicoils or replacement heads would be needed.
Or has he shorn off the threaded sections? I haven't ever seen that happen.
