Mixing parts from a internal and an external balanced engine can be worse than just bad vibrations. The harmonics involved will severely stress the block casting and break the mains out of the block casting in time. It's real ugly.

The 330MD, I'd bet, is INTERNALLY balanced

330MD's are internally balenced All big snout FT's are externally balenced.
