lift advice

first question is do i have to get a lift kit designed for my truck, can i swap out suspenion from 89 bronco 2 to 94 f150? second, if i want to put bigger tires on my truck, to fill in wheel well space, is it better to go body lift, suspenion lift, or big as possible with no lift?

I would always tell you to go as big as possible with no lift but you can only fit 33' tires with minor rubbing on a stock 4x4 truck. If you want to go bigger than that you will need a suspension lift. I dont like the body lifts plus it throws all kinds of angles out of whack as far as body and frame alignment. Skyjacker is the best suspension lift on the market get the one with the extended radius arms if you do get it it is alot easier to do if you havent changed the radius arm brackets before (they are riveted to the frame which is a pain to get off)
just my .02

Bronco 2 lifts will not work on a F150, a lot smaller brackets and springs. If you want 33's just find a leveling spring for the front, but you will have minor rubbing on the bumper when turning like darthice mentioned. And you will most likely rub on your radius arms quite a bit. The skyjacker lift would be pricey if you are on a budget and don't want to spend a lot. But with the new radius arms you shouldn't rub them anymore and you will clear the 33s easy.

I never recommend "stuffing" tires in there. The lift would keep the space for the wheel to travel. I also think it looks goofy, but that's all personal preference. I also don't understand how some people can find it acceptable to have any rubbing on the bumper or radius arms whatsoever but that may also just be me.
I prefer suspension lifts but if you're only going to a 33" tire, a leveling kit in the front would be fine as long as it's safe, not those little screw things that wedge in the spring.

Putting 33's on will seriously enlarge your turning radius! Es no bueno! Do the lift! Hey all, I'm new on this site, is there anywhere on here where I can meet up with people who do runs and stuff? Just sold my Bronco and picked up a F350 supercrew I wanna play with!!

I did not see it mentioned if your truck is 2wd or 4wd. If its 2wd run 31 10.50 and if its 4wd run 32 11.50.

I advise against stuffing tires and against lifting unless your going to actually use it off road. I also don't normally recommend significantly larger tires unless you want to regear the differential.

Also stay away from body lifts.

You really wont need a "KIT" unless you want to lift it 4in or more. Most 2in or leveling kits are just springs for the front. You will probably also have to get the alignment bushings for the front and take it to a good shop to have it aligned.

If you want to do it right you can easily fit 33"s with a 4in lift. It will look good, and be much more practical and useful off road. I came across a super lift extended radius arm kit for a full size bronco at the junk yard and i got the pivot drops and radius arms for 50 bucks. More importantly, i was really surprised by the quality of the brackets, super thick metal, lots of welds, and it looks like that actually put some effort into the design. Overall i like superlift.

If its a 4x4 i would put a good quality lift on it , enought to put 12.50 - 33s on 10in wheels with no rubbing , this will give you good offroad capabilitys & have good street manors , with the wider stance i think they drive better than stock , make sure you use a good lift kit that will retain the stock alighnment specs . I have had several this way & really liked that setup....JMO....Lew

thanks guys, i think i am gonna compare some prices to see if i want to go 33 with leveler or bigger lift and bigger tires. Nowhere near me to play, have to travel to go off road, may not go too big.
