Do the rear wheel bearings have to be pressed?

Sorry, forgot to mention that it's a 97 4x4... if that makes any difference.

rear wheel bearings - pressed?

The installation tools is a driver, just like a seal driver. You basically drive in the new bearing with a hammer. Getting the old bearing out could be painful.

According to my manual, bearing replacement is the same for both axles.
