89 trans ?

hi my name is seth i have and 89 f150 with a 3 spd overdrive transmission manual bolted to a 5.0 302 4x4. I would like to pull the trans and rebuild it but i was wondering if i can bolt another trans up to it in the mean time?

You have a 4 speed OD.

Are you happy with that trans? There are many swaps to either the Mazda M5OD or ZF 5 speed OD trans in place of the 4 speed.

Or, depending on your gearing and tire size, go back to a granny first 4 speed with 1:1 high.

hey thanks man you helped me out alot now i just need to find someone who has one and up to what year can i pull one and put in my truck
