I popped my hood to check coolant and when i closed the hood it went about an inch from shutting and just stopped. now i cant open or close the hood. i try pulling the latch and the one inside too but it will not move at all. it is about an inch from being shut and its just stuck there. What should i do?

Hmm since it happened so suddenly I would say that there is some tool or rag sitting in there binding things up. But the latch may have broken. Can you get a screwdriver in there and manually move the latch? Try wiggling the hood up and down as much as you can while you are trying to move the latch.

Sounds like the primary latch closed on ya while the hood was up, when you closed it it jammed latched tight held down by the secondary latch.

If you look you should be able to see if that's what happen, you'd see the secondary latch holding, if so you're gonna have to squeeze the handle for all your worth while rocking the hood side to side a little to get it open again.
