dip stick ?

hey guys
I recently did a rebuild and had to get a new dip stick cause other one was rotted. My question is: does the dip stick have a gasket or o ring that goes on it where it goes into the block? Seems like a loose fit and oil is leaking from that area, it is either that or the new oil pan gasket. thanks

I'm doing an engine swap right now and neither motor has a o-ring that I can tell. I'm going to clean mine up really well and put some silicon on it and let it dry really well before I run it.

No O rings on dipstick tube.......press fit.
Just use some permatex to seal it if leaking.
