i have a 1987 ford f 150 i have changed the stater and the selanoid and the truck selanoid continues to stick after the truck startes if you turn the truck off it continues to run so you have to disconect the battery to get it to stop what am i missing.
Sounds like you might have a connection problem causing a high amp draw during crank welding the solenoids contacts to together.
Could be connections, could be a bad cable corroded up under the casing where you can't see it.
More information might help, how long does it have to crank before the motor fires? Does the motor wind over quick and easy or does it crank hard and choppy? do you live in the salt belt?
Oh and you're going to have to return here for help like everyone else does, doubt anyone will email you answers, I know I don't/won't. I mean if its just not that important to you to return here, why should it be to those that offer help?
That and posting answers/responses right here helps others with the same issue via the search function.
