What is the largest tire i can run on the stock rims without any modification to the truck? Also what tire pressure should that tire be run on?

I think that you can safely put 295's on your truck.

305's may fit but they could rub and honestly, I don't think the 7" wide rims are enough for those tires.

I have 285s and they rubbed the mud "flaps". I trimmed the flaps a little here and there and now it only rubs on occasion. Not enough to bother me.

i just put 305/70/16 on a 2WD, they are Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. No rubbing, even with the steering turned all the way. I will put pictures on the FordExcursion.com website over the weekend.

My buddy has 305/70/16's on his 2000 Limited 4x4 and hasn't had them rub once...

what about the speedometer? would it need to be recalibrated for the new tires?
