Coils?

What is the best 6 volt coil that I can buy? I am tired of cheap ones working for a while then taking a dump. Napa has them and dennis carpenter has them. And probably every other auto parts store does, but whos last longer and gives a stronger spark?

Those go out because they are oil filled. The cheap way they are made today, with minimum reliability standards, abotu 50% of all oil filled coils are bad off the shelf because they are not completely filled.

I highly recommend the Pertronix "Flame Thrower" which is epoxy filled - solid core. They run about $30 to $40. I believe they make one in 6 volt as well as 12 volt.
