Hey guys
I am thinking about doing a VB job on my 77 C6. It was suggested that i get the C6 Techtran manual but i cant find one around here. the two that i have found are the Chiltons and haynes. Are thes any good?
Thanks
David
Techtran manuals are made by ATSG, and you can get them through www.bulkpart.com for about $16. They are pretty good, but I have no experience with Haynes or Chiltons.
I have a Haynes manual for Ford transmissions which I have not really used yet but keep around just in case. Most of the time I find it is best to have a variety of manuals because they will all have different details or pictures that are sometimes better than another.
I rebuilt my first tranny, an AOD, with the Haynes. It was pretty good, but I never looked at any other to compare. there was a step or two that was backward but nothing drastically wrong.
It went step by step with a picture for each step.
