Okay everyone, I have been busy installing the pyrometer and boost gauges today. I didn't have the right size T with the kit so I went to town and purchased a quarter inch T with two quarter inch barbed nipples. Then I had a dickens of a time trying to find a quarter pipe to one eighth compression fitting for the eighth inch nylon vaccum tube for the boost gauge. I will try again tomorrow to see what I can find. The gauges look nice in the four guage pod I installed as well. I just need to tap into the manifold for the pyro and the MAP line for the boost.
Oh how things don't go as well as planned. Question I have is where can you find a drill bit that is sized as R?
That is funny, I knew as soon as I asked, I was going to get at least one good explanation. Very good on the bit info. That looks like something I will try to finish tomorrow. Thanks.
Don't sweat it, I have been messing with this stuff since I was 16, just have not messed with it lately. I appreciate the safety issue, don't need to end up blind. Also in the process of remodeling an old farm house, so I have to keep my projects straight.
!/4 pipe to 1/8 tube is not real common although they are made.May have to get a bushing from 1/4 NPT to 1/8 NPT then use a 1/8 NPT to 1/8 compression fitting
That is what my brother and I came up with. I will have to probably hit an actual hardware store for that one, as the big box stores didn't have it. Thanks for the advice.
