99 Lift Kit
Ok a Chevy boy (sorry the only Diesel person to ask) said that if you do any modification to a diesel ex. bigger tires, lift, axle ratio. your computer will start having problems, is this true?
If so what can/cant you do with bigger tires and or lift?

I have a '99 SD w/ a PSD, 4x4, and 3.73s. The truck has a 5.5" lift and 35" tires and my truck drives and rides great. In fact my fuel economy got better w/ the lift. (probably because I drive 75-80 everywhere) So the issues you speak of, if they exist, are minor.

There are guys with PSDs with 44" tires w/o any problems. If you do lift, you can have the dealer reprogram up to 35" tires. For any bigger tires get the Superlift Truspeed Module to recalibrate your speedo and trans. shift points.
